Before you enrol

Common questions, clear answers.

Who are Taokudi QA Academy programmes for?

The programmes are designed for beginners, career changers, manual testers and existing QA professionals who want stronger practical quality-engineering skills. Foundations is the gentlest entry point; Accelerator is the main job-ready pathway; Elite adds intensive mentoring and career-launch support.

Do I need previous QA or coding experience?

No professional QA experience is required. Foundations requires no coding experience. Accelerator is easier if you already understand basic testing concepts, while Elite expects you to be ready for a faster technical pace and regular portfolio work.

What equipment do I need?

You need a reliable laptop, stable internet connection and the ability to install the tools used in your programme. Accelerator and Elite learners should be able to run VS Code, Node.js, Git, Postman and browser-based automation tools.

Are the programmes online?

Yes. The published cohorts are delivered online with live teaching, guided practical work and access to the relevant Academy learning environment. Session times are shown in West Africa Time (WAT / UTC+1).

What happens if I miss a live session?

Missing an individual live session does not automatically create a refund right where the session was available as scheduled. Where recordings or alternative materials are provided for your programme, you can use them to catch up. If a serious event affects your participation, contact us as early as possible.

How much time should I set aside each week?

Foundations is designed around approximately 5–7 hours per week, Accelerator around 8–10 hours per week, and Elite around 10–12 hours per week, including live sessions, practice and project work.

What is QCC and how is it used in the Academy?

QCC means Quality Command Centre. It is Taokudi’s practical quality-engineering environment. Learners use it to connect requirements, test cases, execution, automation, defects, evidence and release-readiness thinking.

Will I build a portfolio?

Yes. Practical work is designed to leave you with evidence you can explain to employers, such as test cases, defect reports, API work, automation, project documentation and end-to-end QA artefacts appropriate to your programme.

Do I receive a certificate?

Where a programme includes a completion certificate, it confirms that you met Taokudi QA Academy’s stated completion requirements. It is not a government licence or a guarantee of employment.

Do you guarantee that I will get a QA job?

No. We provide practical training, portfolio support, interview preparation and career guidance, but employment decisions are made by independent employers. We do not guarantee a job, interview, salary level, promotion or any specific career outcome.

What career support is included?

Support depends on your programme. Foundations includes starter portfolio guidance. Accelerator includes project reviews, interview preparation and group CV/LinkedIn support. Elite includes 1:1 mentoring, additional portfolio reviews, two mock interviews, an individual CV/LinkedIn review and a personalised career-launch plan.

Can I pay in a different currency?

The website can display indicative conversions from the Nigerian Naira base price. Your final payment amount may differ slightly because your bank, card provider or payment processor may use its own exchange rate or apply fees.

What is your refund and cancellation policy?

The rules depend on when you cancel, how much of the programme has already been delivered and any mandatory consumer rights that apply to you. Please review the Refund & Cancellation Policy before paying.

Can I move to a later cohort?

Where capacity allows, Taokudi may approve a cohort transfer. Transfers are subject to availability, timing and any price difference between cohorts. Request a transfer as early as possible.

How do I make a complaint?

Email hello@taokudi-qaacademy.com with your name, programme or application details, what happened and the outcome you are seeking. Our Complaints Procedure explains acknowledgement, investigation, response and escalation steps.

How quickly will you respond to learner support?

The target response time is within 2 business days for Foundations and Accelerator support, and within 1 business day for Elite priority support. These are service targets rather than guarantees of immediate resolution.

Career outcomes

We help you become better prepared. Employers make the hiring decision.

Taokudi QA Academy does not guarantee employment, interviews, salary levels, promotions, contract work or any other specific career outcome. Career support is designed to improve your skills, evidence, applications and interview preparation.
